Tipped off?

Think Progress has a short item noting conservative group Progress for America has already created JusticeMiers.com, "an extensive website promoting Harriet Miers’ nomination."

Were they tipped off?

The site was registered September 29 and updated October 2, according to WhoIs.net.

Progress for America also registered JusticeGonzales.com, JusticeBrown.com, and JusticeGarzar.com on June 20. (Can you find any others?)

It seems like PFA is covering all their bases, but they know very well who is on the short list.

Yeah, and CNN had an Obit for Reagan before he died. So?

Every news outlet has obits prepared for prominent people. That is different from a right-wing organization who knows the President's short list in a world where there is supposedly no coordination between the two.

I heard on CNN and FoxNews days before that she was on the short list. Get over your conspiracty stories. Furthermore, what difference does it make if the did leak it to an organization, not like it's classified information...

Considering what I dug up, I think it's unlikely they knew ahead of time.

Think Progress posed the question, so I looked into it.
