State Senator Steve Kelley throws his hat in for governor

My State Senator, Steve Kelley has announced his candidacy for governor and has made it clear that education will be a big part of his campaign. And though he may be up against Mike Hatch and Dean Johnson, he says he won't run in the primary if he doesn't receive the DFL Party's endorsement. I've been fairly pleased with his voting record as my Senator, and it'll be interesting to see how this pans out.

Didn't this guy get spanked in 2000 by the rest of the DFL?

He'll fit right in with victim girl. Maybe they can run togather.

What was the spanking for? Kelley has since become prominent with torpedoing Yecke.

Who is victim girl?

Draft Pawlenty is talking about Boucher supporting Kelley:

State Senator Steve Kelley is a poor gubernatorial candidate for many reasons. In the 1980's he was a major political failure losing a city council campaign in the relatively small Minneapolis suburb of Hopkins, and running for the legislature and losing that race. Steve Kelley was portrayed in 1996 by political opportunist, Rep. Ron Latz as a poor legislator. Now Ron Latz is supporting Steve Kelley so that he may advance his political career by being elected to that senate seat. Steve Kelley was also behind Betty Folliard's race for state dfl party chair last year, she is the former legislator known for abusively cursing at Howard Dean supporters two years ago in front many party loyalists at the DFL central committee meeting two years ago. Both have lost more elections than they have one(it's too easy to draw that parallel between Folliard and Kelley)

Won't these people give up? Their brand of political defeat mixed with negativity and fear is dividing our party.
