I (heart) wind turbines

I'm trying to make a graphic that says "I (heart) wind turbines". Which one of these do you think is best?

1)

2)

3)

I gotta say "yikes!" to all three, though I know I would reveal too much of my personality by revealing a preference for a particular turbine blade thickness.

How about an intriguing slogan incorporating the turbine, e.g. "wind is free"?

Wind power sounds like a good "bumper sticker issue," but the path to more wind-generated power in Minnesota (already 3rd in USA) is a bit more complicated.

How about "I (heart) high-load transmission lines from remote areas where turbines are located to major population centers at a estimated cost of $1 million a mile?"

Not as catchy, but very important to those of us who really care about cleaner energy sources. Let's keep up the fight!

I actually love wind turbines. I think they're very beautiful. That's why I'm trying to make the graphic.

I see my font is all wrong vis-a-vis the I (heart) NY graphic. Probably should've checked on that first.

Bob, what was that -- "I (heart) rural jobs and clean air"? I thought so. ;)

When you get it completed (I like #2 of the three options) let me know and I'll give it some bumper space on the bus.

Why do I have a sudden urge to watch "Rainman"?

Let me know if you want some printed up whenever you finish your design. I have two extra cases of gloss sticker stock that I bought for a project sometime ago and can get some printing on a high-end Xerox digital printer at no cost.

Flying over western Minn/Iowa on Monday in a very small plane, I saw dozens of them from the air. They did look cool, but they're tall, like choice #1. Like the plane I was in, they were moving with the wind, although I don't think that the barfing was going on there.

Bob, does that mean you *want* the windmills and their HVTLs or are you being sarcastic?

MNObserver --

Yeah, they are tall and skiny. These are all variations on #1, which is just from a photo of a turbine that I filled in with black. The others are attempts to make the turbine look more "iconic" by cropping or expanding the area.

But #1 is sort of growing on me. It looks more "real".

I think #1 is too thin -- you have to be bold on a bumber sticker or you can't see what it is. For that reason, I vote #3. Thick and bold, that's how i likes it.

How about,

"I want to spend more for energy than I have to!"

or

"If only we had wind turbine light rail we could waste cash twice as fast!"

So do you have anything to back that up, or are you just trolling as usual, Censored? From what I've read, in windy areas, prices for energy produced by wind turbines are comparible to traditional electric companies, not to mention that it's a purely renewable, non-polluting resource.

Right you are, Master Luke. I was sounding too negative...

MNObserver, no sarcasim in my early comment, just a honest observation on the #1 challenge we most overcome to get more wind-generated electricity in Minnesota.

Non-polluting, wind-powered electric power for Minnesota? What about that could the ALAMN not love?!?

We (heart) clean energy!

The reason I ask is because some time ago, I went to the ALAMN web site to figure out what to do about a local industry that was dumping tons of toxins into the air of my neighborhood. But when I got there, I found a web site for an organization that looked like it had essentially been bought by the very industry that was making us all ill.

That was when I stopped contributing to the Lung Association and started contributing to the organizations fighting against Gopher State Ethanol and for environmental justice.

Luke-I like #1, but #3 will stand out better on a bumper, whichever you dicide, let me know when they're done, I want a bunch of 'em, as do the Bro-in-law and his friends.
