Off Topic: Monopod, Monopod, Monopod!
I want to get a monopod so I can take better pictures with my digital camera. It has manual settings for up to ISO 400-equivalent, but the pictures are far more noisy than ISO 400 film. It takes the best-looking photos at its ISO 100-equivalent setting, but these are blurry except under the best stabilization/lighting conditions.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I already have a tripod. I want something lightweight that I can carry around with me all the time, and possibly also use with my film SLR. I have read the Photo.net page about monopods but if you've got anything to add, I'd love to hear it.

It's been a few years but at one time I was quite the avid (film) photographer. I can't recomment a particular brand, however, I would recommend that if possible you want to actually experience the monopod physically in the real world before buying. What you really want is hardware that's really heavy and secure, especially on the various tightening knobs for telescoping the 'pod itself and the knuckle that lets you tilt and pan. Try to avoid plastic stuff if you can. If it rattles it's bad. The old adage about buying the best you can afford applies here too. Good luck!
I bought the Sima monopod at Circuit City and really like it. It's cheaper at Amazon. Do a search on either site for "Sima monopod" to pull it up.

I am having trouble with my Internet explorer.It is doing some very odd things.Sometimes it will completely close the page i am visiting for no reason or it will be very slow loading pages and when i say slow i mean very very very slow for eg i tried to google something and after 10 minutes of the page trying to load i gave up.I thought that it was perhaps the topic i was searching so i tried putting in random things to see if that made any difference but it didn't.Another problem i had was when i was on a forum and clicked on a link and nothing happened i tried to open a new tab and that wouldn't work either and it would let me access any options that are in my tools menu.i had to restart my computer.Just to let you know i have high speed Internet connection.Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me with this problem.
