Kiffmeyer: owned!

My first Star Tribune letter to the editor got published in the September 16th paper. It's about Kiffmeyer's scare-mongering, a topic we've covered frequently here at the New Patriot.

Kiffmeyer and terror

Secretary of State Mary Kiffmeyer needs to reread her job description. She is supposed to help people vote and ensure the smooth operation of elections.

Instead, she's feuded with local election officials because of her overcomplicated voter registration forms and tried to shut down the City Pages' voter registration effort at the behest of the far-right Taxpayers League.

And now she's scaring people with her talk of "homicide" bombers at your polling station.

Kiffmeyer should let the police and Homeland Security handle the terrorists and focus on her job: helping people vote.

Luke Francl, Minneapolis.

Check it out -- there's two other anti-Kiffmeyer letters in tomorrow's paper as well.

Right on, Luke.

I voted. I crept to the polls. The old lady was watching me watch her. I gave her the hairy eyeball. She adjusted her glasses. She smelled flowery. I looked at her walker. It would be easy to hide a WMD in there. I got my ballot, filled in some dots.

On the way out, a lady with suspicious looking lumps on her chest tried to hand me a sticker. No way I was going to risk that. I barely escaped.

Sure criticize Kiffmeyer all you want, but I happen to have good information that Al Qaeda is VERY interested in who wins the Anoka County Commissioner race.

I did a little digging into your Assumption that Kiffmeyer is trying to scare the voters from the polls. First of all our homeland security wrote this document not kiffmeyer. Second, homeland security wanted them hung up at voting polls because it would be a good way to try to educate people when they go to the polls. But as usual with you folks It's got to be a huge conspiracy against the Libs. You don't really wonder why average americans think you are a bunch of F'n morons?

So, if Homeland Security wrote this memo, why does it use the nonsensical Fox News-only term "homicide bomber"?

That's right. If the memo originated in the Department of Homeland Security, then it couldn't be politically motivated. I'm reassured that the Department of Homeland Security--the existence of which President Bush opposed until the very day Colleen Rowley testified before the Senate--is using cutting edge counter terrorism measures such as posters and color coded threat charts. I hope this will finally silence those morons on the left who hyperventalate over ungaurded sea ports and insist on deploying more security personnel to our borders. As the brain trusts at the MN GOP can tell you: Bigger government is not the answer to terrorism, it's the problem.
